Do I need a FOID card to take the class?

Yes. A valid Illinois FOID Card is required to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License and is required before attending the class.
 

Do I need to own a firearm?

No. If you do not own a firearm, options are available for your live-fire qualification. Contact us before class so we can make arrangements.
 

What is the difference between the 16-hour class and the 3-hour renewal class?

The 16-hour class is for first-time Illinois Concealed Carry License applicants. The 3-hour class is for current CCL holders who are renewing their license.
 

How long is the class?

The initial Illinois Concealed Carry course is 16 hours (8 Hours over two days). The renewal course is 3 hours and both classes includes the required live-fire qualification.

 

Is live-fire qualification required?

Yes. Illinois State Police require students to successfully complete a live-fire qualification to receive a course completion certificate.
 

How do I register?

Simply click the Register Now button on the Classes page, select your preferred class date, and complete your booking online.
 

What happens after I register?

You'll receive a confirmation email with your class details, payment information, classroom location, and a list of what to bring.
 

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another available class with advance notice, subject to availability.
